My journey into local real estate began with my first Marbella purchase in 2016.
Since 2019, my focus has shifted to actively investing in real estate. My ultimate aim is to create a portfolio of rental properties for additional income. While I'd like to call it passive, it's honestly been a journey filled with hard work and learning from mistakes. Alongside, I've ventured into property flipping, transforming undervalued or neglected properties into welcoming and comfortable homes.
Throughout my journey, I've been on a constant learning curve, finding valuable insights through real estate-themed podcasts and connecting with like-minded investors in my home country, Estonia. As I shared my experiences, I discovered a growing interest from international audiences, whether they were seasoned investors eyeing Marbella or individuals dreaming of a second home that could generate income when not in use.
Recognizing the growing interest in Marbella's property market, I was inspired to create a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences. Thus, the Marbella Property Podcast was born—a space for learning, sharing, and connecting with industry experts on diverse real estate topics. I'm excited to build this community and continue my own learning journey alongside you.
Born in 1980 in Germany, with a spirit of adventure, I embarked straight out of high school in 1998, landing on the vibrant Costa del Sol. What was initially planned as a one-year foreign experience to learn Spanish and gain work experience evolved into a lifelong venture.
My story took a pivotal turn when I decided not to return to Germany, opting instead to immerse myself in my family's transport business. Traveling back and forth between Spain and Germany, I learned the ropes of the industry in every aspect of the business. In 2002, I seized the opportunity to establish my own branch of the family removal business in Marbella, complete with an office, a spacious storage unit, and a dedicated team of staff members.
Recognizing the need to streamline my ventures, I sold my shares in the family business in 2012, redirecting my focus entirely towards real estate. Eager to deepen my understanding of the industry, I took a bold step and joined a property management company, starting from scratch to build my expertise.
In 2014, I founded "Camilla Liftinger Real Estate," marking the beginning of my independent journey in the real estate sector. Throughout these years, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous clients in their quest for both dream homes and investment properties, while also representing sellers in securing optimal returns on their properties. This journey has given me a profound understanding of the local market dynamics, enriched by experiences from both challenging and peak market periods.
Since 2020, in a collaborative effort with my husband, we have expanded our horizons by actively investing in local real estate. This new venture has involved acquiring and renovating several properties, adding a practical dimension to my professional expertise. As I continue to expand my rental property portfolio, I am excited to share the insights and lessons of my journey through this podcast, offering a blend of personal experiences and professional wisdom.
Looking ahead, I'm aiming to own several properties to create an income and hopefully give me peace of mind in my pensionist life. The enthusiasm for the industry and its constant evolution, turned the idea of the Podcast alongside Gretel, into reality.
